Rapper 50 Cent has only been on Twitter a few weeks, but has already made a name for himself with salacious tweets involving porn stars, disses aimed at former rivals, and just random Fiddy-style jokes.

But, in an effort to remind everyone that he's still a rapper with an important album on the horizon, Curtis Jackson says he's leaving the popular social networking site behind for the time being.

"Ok ladies and gentalmen I'm writing my new album. I will not be on twitter again till sept 6This album will be a classic," 50 tweeted Wednesday (August 31).

And in one last bit of Twitter raunchiness, 50 added: "Motherf*ckers I know how to spell gentlemanI was typing fast f*ck you. sept 6 until then b*tches suck deep and n*ggas lick the holes right."
