When it comes to his cash, Chris Brown likes to keep it in his pocket. While his former boo, Rihanna, was over at MTV’s Video Music Awards, Chris was thousands of miles away, sulking in a booth at New York hotspot Veranda.

One witness says, “[Chris] looked lifeless. He barely spoke to anyone and refused to take pictures with fans." Despite the nightclub forking over two free bottles of Vodka, and staying longer than two hours, the disgraced R&B singer left without leaving a tip, the NY Post reports.

This just goes to show, celebrities are cheaper than regular folk.
