Veteran femcee Eve recently shared her feelings on the new generation of hip hop stars that have emerged over the past few years. Eve was part of a late 90s class of stars that stood at the cusp of hip hop as the 21st century dawned, but only had moderate praise for the kids that are making waves today.
“I gotta say that I really don’t listen to a lot of the newest people," the Philly girl admitted. "It’s not too many people that turn me on in any way. But if I had to pick any of the newer hip hop generation people, it would be Drake. He’s dope and really talented. I think he has staying power. I think a lot of these other people don’t."
Drake seems to be the only youngster in hip hop that the older heads aren't bashing on a regular basis.
Eve also revealed that her album, Lip Lock coming out next year under EMI.
