St. Louis rapper Nelly didn't take too kindly to being left off of BET's Top Ten Rappers of the Century list. Nelly was among the biggest sellers of the early 2000s, and, during a British interview, he admitted that he was a little confused by being dissed by BET's list.
"I outsold every [one] of [the rappers on the list] except one," Nelly said. "It's a funny thing, man. It's just an opinion. But, when you look at things like that, you wonder what's the criteria. Some of it just didn't make any sense. They were judging one guy for this and one guy for this and another guy would come along and they would switch it around. I don't know what the criteria was."
"Yeah, I saw it. Was I shocked? I was pretty shocked. Men and women lie, [but] numbers don't lie. I wasn't expecting to be number one, but i thought I could've gotten mentioned."
"But it's all good."
