Fried Chicken Joint Opens Today In Iowa

Public Enemy hypeman-turned-reality show star Flavor Flav is embarking on a new business endeavor that's surely not going to help change his critics' perception of him as a living, breathing modern day minstrel. Flav has opened his own restaurant, Flavor Flav's Fried Chicken, in Iowa, of all places. The restaurant is set to open today in Clinton, IA and, if successful, it looks to be the first of many.

To add to the intrigue, Flav opened his restaurant right next to a KFC. Seems like nobody was really paying much attention to marketing and over-saturation, but the KFC's owner doesn't seem to be worried about Flav's herbs and spices.

"We've been in business since 1963, we always welcomed competition," the owner told TMZ. "We have competed with six or seven brands over that time and as long as we take care of The Colonel's chicken, we will be just fine."
