As soon as Jay-Z and Kanye dropped Watch the Throne, it seemed like every notable (and many not-so-notable) rapper was announcing a collaborative project either in the works or that they had been 'thinking about' for years and just never got around to actually making.

Well, you can strike one superstar collabo of your list.

Drake says he and Lil Wayne won't be joining the joint album club any time soon.

“Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album," he says. "We just agreed that it would be looked upon as…It would be sort of this competition [with Watch The Throne]. I feel like it would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. [Wayne] agreed. We just said, ‘If we do it, we’ll do it down the line. But right now is not the time.’”
