Ashanti may not have dropped an album in a while, but the sexy singer is still snagging big money--as a public speaker.

Yes, you read that right.

Recently, Ashanti turned up to a high school in Atlantic City, New Jersey and spoke to the student body during an assembly. She also spoke to some middle school kids privately and did an interview on the school's radio station.

How much did she pull down for the speaking gig? Reportedly $20,000.

Not bad for a day's work for a pop star who hasn't been in the spotlight for a while. Do those kids even remember when she was famous?
