Lil Wayne gave an interesting explanation for dropping his "Dedication 4" mixtape. According to Weezy, he just got bored and decided to get to recording. He spoke to DJ Drama about their collaboration and said he always has to keep himself occupied and motivated.

"I just felt like it was time. I got bored," Weezy said. "Being me, I always feel like I ain't done nothing yet. So I'm always looking for the next thing 'to do.' Other than that, yeah, it does get pretty boring when it comes to just the rapping and all that type of stuff."

"I've done so much of it," he added. "I've been doing it since I was eight and I'm about to be thirty in September and I'm still rapping. I kind of feel like I'm getting old. [laughs]"
