Nicki Minaj ended 2012 relatively quietly, but the Young Money superstar issued a few tweets to let her fans know why she's taken a break from social media. She said that she just needed to get away for an unplanned bit of quiet.

"I didn't leave barbz, I was still here in spirit and u guys KNOW that so stop with the dramatics!!! LMAO. come sit in my lap," she tweeted, following a month of silence.

"I really didn't plan on leaving barbz! =( just sorta happened...I learned a lot on my little sabbatical tho... so enlightening, so peaceful" she added.
