Student Has ''Grown Out of the Role''

Will Smith and Jay-Z may be re-launching "Annie" for the big screen, but it looks like Smith's daughter, Willow, has missed out on the opportunity to play the title character. A statement from Smith’s company Overbrook Entertainment states that the project having been delayed for a couple of years has made Willow too old to play the little orphan.

“Willow was nine years old when we started developing this project, and has since grown out of the role,” the statement reads.

There are rumors that 9-year-old Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis and Amandla Stenberg of The Hunger Games are being considered for the part.
