Janet Jackson is married! And she kept it a secret for a year!

The pop icon and her billionaire boo Wissam Al Mana have been the subject of wild rumors about delayed engagements and pre-nup stipulations for the past several weeks, so it looks like they decided to just put all of the speculation to rest. They released a joint statement saying that there was no lavish ceremony and no controversy between them.

"The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony," the statement reads.

"Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy."
