Fantasia was involved in a well-publicized beef with JET magazine last month after they did a cover story on her. At the time, Fanny blasted the mag for not using the photo that she had specifically requested, but in a recent interview with Philly's Power 99, she explained why she was so annoyed.

"I worked so hard to get to where I am now," she said. "And I don’t want to take it back, I want to move forward. If I don’t stand for something, I’ll fall for anything. And I think that they were used to that Fantasia that never said anything and that’s why stuff got haywire when there was so much said about me. It was almost like using me as the clown act. I’m not that girl anymore. So I just wanted them to know, don’t take it back 10 years, when I’ve worked so hard and did a shoot for 10 hours, to show the new look with the new music, that’s all."
