Singer/Reality Star To Join Label

Brandy's attempted reinvention as an artist with hip hop street cred continues. It is rumored that the R&B star turned reality-show diva could be signing with hip hop's most iconic label, Def Jam.

Now, Def Jam has picked up Mariah Carey and other vocalists over the years, so it's no surprise that the "Almost Doesn't Count" singer may be joining the label. The-Dream is also a singer on the Def Jam label and is also an executive and is allegedly the one buzzing about the possible signing of Brandy and R&B singer J. Holiday. One has to wonder how Oran "Juice" Jones feels about this.

Meanwhile, she and her brother Ray J continue to make themselves seem less-and-less interesting on their VH1 reality show "Family Business."
