Singer-songwriter Keri Hilson dropped by the "Today" show to talk makeup and making albums and revealed why she jumped at the chance to partner with Avon. "I just didn't want to do any and every endorsement that came my way," the singer said. "To me [Avon] represents the everyday woman. I do music for the same reason. I want to break age boundaries and color boundaries." The singer added, "It's also empowering, [Avon] allows five million representatives the means to make a living. It's a perfect partnership."
The Grammy-award winner also revealed that she's not worried about following up her successful debut, In A Perfect World, and that she's not worried about any sophomore jinxesE
"That [first album] was a blessing. I have to thank my fans for that. This time around, there really are no nerves. Everybody talks about the 'sophomore curse,' but I just do what I do."
