This year was no different, with the southern rap superstar releasing new music and traveling the country for concerts and appearances. Despite the ongoing silence of his longtime musical partner, Andre 3000, Big Boi has remained in the public eye throughout a busy 2010.

Big Boi signed a deal with Def Jam early in 2010 and te rapper released his long-anticipated official solo debut Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. The Atlanta icon also launched a custom Chuck Taylor sneaker with Converse.

The rapper also stayed on the road throughout the year, performing at the South By Southwest Festival and headlining both the Heineken "Inspire" series and the 2010 Moogfest in Asheville, North Carolina.

Also this year, the rapper and singer/songwriter Keri Hilson helped launch a Back To School initiative aimed at swaying Chicago youth from dropping out of high school.
