Julie Greenwald Julie Greenwald, Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of an of industry powerhouse, Atlantic Records Group, is one of the industry's most influential executives. Having developed artists like DMX, Jay-Z and LL Cool J from her days at Def Jam, Greenwald is now helping to shepherd the careers of Atlantic stars such as T.I. and Lupe Fiasco.

“I came over eight months pregnant,” she said in a 2009 interview with Elle. “I ran around the company and had a month to interview as many people as possible. I was looking for people who weren’t married to the old Atlantic. I really needed people who were going to follow me.”

As a talented and qualified record executive, Greenwald was honored with the 2010 Music Visionary of the Year Award by the UJA-Federation of New York’s Entertainment, Media & Communications Division.

Understanding the value of utilizing online media as a device for selling music, helped Greenwald and Atlantic Records become the first major label to garner more than 50% of its recorded music sales from digital products.
