The man who's been crafting monster hits for almost 20 years in the industry, Jermaine Dupri's reputation speaks for itself. He's produced or mentored some of the biggest selling acts in hip hop and continues to outwork his contemporaries in the studio.
Dupri has been working with superstar Mariah Carey on her latest project, due to be released in 2011. And he also entered the studio with his ex-girlfriend, pop diva Janet Jackson to collaborate. And he also added to his litany of guest appearances, lending verses to hit songs by Cali Swag District and Bow Wow.
Dupri is also working with superstar Nelly, up-and-comer Teyana Taylor and is prepping the debut album of his latest protege, former YouTube sensation Dondria Nicole.
For his legacy as a visionary that helped put Atlanta on the hip hop map in the 1990s, Dupri was honored at the 2010 Vh1 Hip Hop Honors. Ever the entrepreneur, Dupri also launched Nu Pop watch collection. The designer watches have a starting price of around $135.00.
