She also garnered interviews with both Rihanna and Chris Brown shortly following Brown's early statements about his arrest for assault and broke the news in mid-2010 of the long-awaited Dipset reunion. Showcasing her knack for getting the facts on celebrity scandals, Martinez landed a popular interview with Jay-Z where he addresses the ongoing 'Illuminati' rumors that have dogged the rapper over the past year, and also netted a sit-down with Kanye West during his summer resurgence following his seclusion throughout early 2010.
In 2009, Martinez launched the popular Angie Martinez Hair & Beauty Show. The beloved DJ was honored at the 2010 WEEN Awards for her ongoing work as a hip hop DJ and radio personality.
