"Terrence J" Jenkins
By Martin James Friday, December 30th, 2011

"Terrence J" Jenkins is one half of BET's "106 & Park" hosting tandem that also includes Rocsi Diaz, but in 2011, the popular veejay continued to expand his professional repertoire outside of his day job bringing music to millions of fans around the world. He's continued to be one of the facets of mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs' Sean John fashion line, and pursued more roles in an ever-evolving acting career.

Terrence J also landed one of the lead roles in the Sony Pictures film Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man, based on the popular Steve Harvey book of the same name. He inked a deal with rapport sneakers this year and also became a recurring character on popular television show "The Game." And while he's been the subject of rumors involving everyone from Toni Braxton to Brandy, Terrence is focused on his brand--and staying positive in his appeal.

"I can’t go up there talking about gun play, drug play and put a tattoo on my face because that’s not who we appeal to. That’s been very lucrative for me," he said in January. "That’s lead to big deals with Sean John, it’s led to deals with Rapport sneakers. So from a financial perspective and business perspective it was smarter for me to act like that because I’m in a lane by myself. Me & Nick Cannon are in a real distinct lane that no other African Americans are in right now."
