The sexy co-host of BET's hit show "106 & Park" is still one of the most popular and influential figures in hip hop for teens and twentysomethings. Rocsi and her cohost, Terrence J, provide a platform for artists to meet-and-greet the fans, for fans to hear the latest music and see the latest videos, and is beamed into the living rooms of millions of viewers on a daily basis.
But in 2011, Rocsi's influence stretched past the confines of BET. The Latina landed a radio hosting gig, with her own four-hour national radio show titled "Rocsi on the Radio." The new show launched with Westwood One and features new music, celebrity interviews, listener call-ins.
In January, Rocsi was honored for her work with peta2, by being named "Favorite Media Personality" by the animal rights organization. "When it comes to fighting animal abuse, peta2 and today's hottest music stars are in perfect harmony," peta2 Director Dan Shannon told AllHipHop.com. "Rocsi Diaz has encouraged her fans to save lives by always adopting—and never buying—companion animals."
Rocsi also added 'actress' to her resume in 2011, appearing in the film Gang of Roses 2 with Amber Rose and Teyana Taylor.
