Elliott WilsonSince founding RapRadar back in 2009, Elliott Wilson has proven that he has the savvy to make the transition from respected print journalist to powerhouse of online media. Wilson has had tenures at VIBE and most notably was Editor-In-Chief of XXL up until 2008, but since launching his site, he has become one of the web's most respected voices in hip hop media.

Wilson and RapRadar have been able to stand apart from their peers predominantly due to Wilson's casual everyman persona and his unbridled enthusiasm for hip hop music and culture. His site not only provides music news and gossip, but a fan's perspective on the artists' that are the most beloved and respected in the genre.

Complex listed the 25 Must-Follow Music Writers on Twitter, Wilson made the cut.

His influence on hip hop media is evident. Wilson hosted the Respect the Jux Festival on the East Village Radio Station, he and MTV host/personality Sway took part in a Twitter debate to discuss Eminem's best lines. Additionally, Wilson and he and his wife Danyel Smith were named one of New York's Most Powerful Media Couples.
