The man born John Tucker has quietly become one of the most sought-after directors in the world of hip hop music videos. The skilled Houston native realized when he was a music major at Texas Southern University that he "wanted to create visuals to go along with the music we were making."
Having helmed clips by artists ranging from Lil Wayne to T.I. to Lupe Fiasco, Dr. Teeth has clearly attained the first level of his lifelong dream.
In 2011 alone, Dr. Teeth and his company Director's Cutt Media have been responsible for acclaimed videos by Dorrough Music, Party Boyz and Waka Flocka Flame. Dr. Teeth takes pride in helping provide strong visuals for Texas artists in particular, and helped create Texas All-Star Day in 2010. "Throughout my career as a director I've had the honor of working with the majority of the artist in the state, so it only took was a couple of calls to bring everyone together for this great project," Tucker explained.
Dr. Teeth also participated in the documentary "The Transition: From Music To Film," which helped educate students on how to become a successful filmmaker by having a strong knowledge of film history.
