Dizzee Rascall is UK hip hop. The brash and outspoken rapper has long been an icon in his native country, due to his unflinching honesty and willingness to represent for the grime movement. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and has become one of the biggest British rappers in the world by remaining true to who he is.

Dizzee also announced that he would be joining the Music Matters campaign. The Brit superstar contributed an animated video to the industry-backed campaign that aims to remind people about the value of music, commercial or otherwise.

The rapper rocked the Future Music Festival and it was announced that he’s in talks to star in a new sitcom from the creators of the acclaimed British show “The Inbetweeners.”

Dizzee’s collaboration with Shakira on the hit single “Loca,” became the rapper’s first appearance on the US Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at #32. He’s currently working on his follow up to 2009’s acclaimed Tongue N Cheek.
