The rapper/singer/songwriter received five Grammy nominations for the hit single "F**k you!" and it achieved platinum status in six countries. His performance of the song--alongside actress Gwyneth Paltrow--at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards was one of the most talked-about performances of this year's ceremony.
His latest album, The Lady Killer was one of the most acclaimed releases of the past year. "It's a complete thought, because it's written to be like a score," Cee-Lo said of the album. "The album's meant to be a motion picture, you know? I've never taken that approach to doing an album before."
Cee-Lo joined the new show "The Voice" as acelebrity coach, helping to groom prospective singers for the competition. He also debuted his own talk show, "Talking To Strangers," on FuseTV in the summer of 2011.
The star is also going back to his musical roots. Cee-Lo announced that he was working on new material alongside both his former Goodie MOB bandmates and with his Gnarls Barkley partner, DJ Danger Mouse.
