As executive producer of MTV News, Sway has long been one of the network's most respected voices and the hip hop lifeline for much of network's programming.
Sway conducted an hour-long with R&B star Chris Brown at Brown's Virginia home where the singer addresses the domestic abuse charges he faced following his arrest for attacking pop star Rihanna, and Sway sat down with troubled femcee Foxy Brown for an eye-opening interview in the summer of 2010.
As a host and personality, Sway's opinion has long held weight in the hip-hop community and this year he appeared as an expert in the MTV Documentary "Better Than Good Enough," which chronicles Drake’s rise to superstardom in the days leading up to the release of his debut album.
Sway landed a controversial interview with the late Guru's partner and business associate Solar following the former Gang Starr's frontman's death in spring of 2010. Sway also co-hosted a town hall-style simulcast with President Barack Obama that aired on MTV, CMT and and BET.
