Calvin Snoop Dogg, undoubtedly one of the most recognizable hip hop stars in the world, continued to expand his considerable presence over the past year. The iconic West Coast rapper appeared on Katy Perry's #1 hit "California Gurls," and partnered with Symantec's Norton are to sponsor a video contest for raps about hacking, identity theft and computer viruses.

"The Doggfather's" philanthropic endeavors continued to grow as well, in particular his Snoop Youth Football League, which officially expanded into Chicago. The league is now going into it's sixth season and recently signed an exclusive partnership deal with 7 Eleven in which the rapper himself designed the logo for specialty cups, with proceeds going to the league.

Over the past year, Snoop has appeared everywhere from "True Blood" to Bruno to "One Life to Live"; and was a headlining performer all over the globe, taking the stage at both Glastonbury in the U.K. and Rock the Bells in the States.

"Its important with me to do a lot of different things with my career, that's what makes me who I am," Snoop said. "Music, films, coaching football--it's about creativity."
