One of the most beloved on-air personality in Houston hip hop radio, Brandi Garcia has become one of the hottest urban radio/mixtape veteran’s in Hip Hop today. Starting off in Huntsville, AL she was quickly noticed for her extraordinary vocal talent and began working for 97.9 “The Box” out of Houston, TX.
The ONLY female in Texas that is on the radio, television, and DJing at events, Garcia made headlines when she was fired from "The Box" following allegations of she played a song with banned rapper Trae the Truth in it.
With a groundswell of support from both within the Houston hip hop community and nationwide, Brandi re-emerged from the controversy doing voice-over work and as one of only nine DJs selected for Hennessy Black--not only to mix music, but to also act as bartender; mixing drinks and debuting her own signature Hennessy Black cocktail for their friends and special invited guests.
In other words, since being let go, DJ Brandi Garcia's profile has only been raised throughout hip hop circles.
