By Mathis Bauchner Tuesday, November 16th, 2010
Frazier Over the past decade, Houston’s Trae The Truth has put together a very impressive career, with no less than six solo albums and another one slated for release this November, with features from Lil Wayne, Lupe Fiasco, and more.

Equally as impressive is Trae's commitment to philanthropy in his native Houston community. Culminating in the rapper's "Trae Day," an annual event designed to promote positivity among inner city youth for which Trae has been honored by former Houston Mayor Bill White.

"With me coming up without having a lot of people to help me, I do everything I can to help people so they don't have to experience that," Trae has said. "Holidays or not holidays, doesn't matter."

Houston radio station KBXX banned his music following an altercation between he and a station personality who blamed the rapper for an incident at a Trae Day concert at Texas Southern University, forcing the rapper to file suit and resulting an overwhelming wave of support for Trae from rappers within Houston and around the country--a testament to the respect and influence the 29-year old commands from his peers.
