There are few brands in hip hop journalism as respected and popular as AllHipHop. Founder "Grouchy" Greg Watkins and his partner, Chuck "Jigsaw" Creekmur, founded the website in the late 90s and in the 2000s, it became the leading voice for hip hop news, gossip and information online. It is now the world's most visited website, landing 7 million unique visitors monthly.

AllHipHop also partnered with the League to host BarackTalk, a live State of the Union commentary stream back in January. Several progressive leaders, hip hop bloggers and artists chimed in to give their take on the President's speech and policies.

Watkins has proven time and again that he is willing to stay abreast of what's happening, not only in hip hop culture, but in technology, politics and globally. That commitment has kept AllHipHop on the cutting edge.

"Its the 21st century, we're at the forefront of new technologies and new industries that we have the opportunities to control and own for the first time, so for me…its one of the most exciting and challenging times," Greg says about the current state of hip hop. "A lot of the new media formats are replacing older formats, as we move forward, the industry is going to be transformed into a hybrid of a technology industry. The opportunities are endless."
