Curtis He hasn't released an album in almost four years, but that has done little to slow 50 Cent's ascension to the top of hip hop business and entrepreneurship. After his GUnit Records imprint signed a distribution deal with EMI, the rapper launched GNote records for pop and R&B artists. He also announced new signees to the label; including "Jersey Shore" star, DJ Pauly D, and Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo.

In late 2010, the rapper's Cheetah Vision film production company landed $200 million in funding, and he immediately started production on several film projects; including the Mario Van Peebles-directed Things Fall Apart, SetUp with Bruce Willis and Ryan Phillippe and Gun with Val Kilmer. He also his another film with Oscar-winning actors Robert DeNiro and Forrest Whitaker due to be released in 2012 called Freelancers.

Additionally, he was featured in a VH1 'Rock Doc' called "50 Cent: The Origin of Me," during which he searched through his family's past and discovered truths about his lineage and the brutality of slavery.

50 also launched an initiative to provide food for millions of people in Africa by 2016 via his partnership with Pure Growth Partners to launch a charitable energy drink called Street King. Sales of the drink will help aid in combating world hunger. He also announced the launch of his own headphone line, SMS by 50.

In just one day, 50 Cent's promotion of the publicly traded H&H Imports, Inc. raised the company's stock price from .10 to .39 per share. His fans purchased $50 million worth of the penny stocks. 50 Cent himself made $8.7 million from those exchanges.
