Performers Angry At Festival Attacks

Rapper Method Man has confirmed that he will be suing the organizers of a Illinois festival that he was attacked at this weekend. The Wu-Tang Clan star was hit in the face with what looked to be a full beer can and other projectiles while onstage with Redman at The Gathering of the Juggalos festival. He was left with a bloody gash on his face. Reality star Tila Tequila was also attacked during her stage show.[video here]

The veteran rapper said that such behavior shouldn't go unpunished. "It's not OK... I don't condone throwing things at the talent while they're performing. It takes a lot of heart and balls to continue performing after you've been hit in the face." The Insane Clown Posse host the festival and, along with the other festival organizers, will likely be sued by both Method Man and Tila Tequila.

ICP's Violent J said that they assured Tequila beforehand that she could keep her money even if she wasn't able to finish her performance. "We paid her before the show and assured her that even if things got out of hand, she could keep the money if she had to leave the stage," he told TMZ. He said that they would not pay any settlements to Tequila but the group has yet to issue a response to Method Man.

Even after being hit, Method Man continued with his set--bloody eye and all.
