Rapper Can Release Music Commercially Again 6:00AM ET August 30th, 2010 Contributor : Stephen Willis A Rocky Williform Company
After complaining about being 'blacklisted' due to his contractual obligations to G-Unit Records, Young Buck has finally been released from his contract. 50 Cent has reportedly let his former G-Unit compatriot out of his deal, which means Buck can officially release music on his own. In April 2008 50 Cent announced on Hot 97 that Young Buck was kicked out the group, but was still contractually signed to G-Unit. Since that time, Buck has been unable to release any commercial music.
Buck's inactivity has led to financial problems--the IRS even raided his home earlier this summer--and bitterness towards G-Unit, Aftermath, and Interscope Records. The rapper is reportedly working a new single called "My Campaign", produced by Drumma Boy.
