Mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs recently revealed what he feels are the secrets to his Sean John brand's success. The clothing line debuted in the late 90s and has become one of the top brands in urban fashion, with an estimated worth of $500 million annually. Diddy explained his strategy in a recent interview with CNN.
"We have been able, in the U.S., to break down color barriers and break down stereotypical barriers," Combs said. "A lot of people, if they see somebody of color, they may think, 'Oh, it's the baggy clothes. It's Hip Hop clothes.' Our line is directly the opposite. It's pure fashion, elegant, sophisticated and fun."
