Speaking with MTV's Sway, Lil Wayne gave thanks repeatedly to fans that have supported him while he was incarcerated, and seemed to be ecstatic about being a free man who comes home as still one of the biggest rappers in the game.

"I forgot about yesterday," Wayne said.

The rapper was also still basking in the glow of fan support he received after making a surprise appearance onstage at a Drake concert in Las Vegas. "It's unexplainable," he said. "Words can't explain. I'm good with words, and they can't explain. I just want to thank everybody. Not only MTV fans but fans all across the world, and especially my family. I couldn't have done it without them, and I won't ever do it without them."
