T.I. To Appear On

T.I. may be back in a prison cell, but anticipation for his upcoming album No Mercy, is still sky-high. Before he was sentenced to another 11 months in jail, Tip filmed an episode of the acclaimed VH1 series "Storytellers" at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The episode is set to air on December 10th, just three days after No Mercy's release.

The "Storytellers" series features artists in an intimate setting performing classic songs from their catalog and sharing the stories behind the creating and recording of either their most well-known songs or the latest material they have released. Such past participants include Bruce Springsteen, Green Day and Ringo Starr.

"Before I could make my way to real success my cousin found himself in a situation and he took the bad end of a gun and lost his life in the same house as his 3 year old son and his wife," T.I. reveals on the show. "That just hit me real hard and for him to have had as big of a part in the beginning of my career and not be there to see it turn into what it has turned into today opened up a lot feelings and emotions to me that I just had to put into music."
