Curren$y Joins Warner Bros.

Curren$y is heading over to Asylum/Warner Bros.

The New Orleans rapper, who has floated to and from several labels--including Young Money--gained a following as an indie sensation after stints under several major labels went nowhere. He found his footing over the past two years, releasing "This Ain't No Mixtape" through Amalgam Digital and the albums Pilot Talk and Pilot Talk II on Dame Dash's BluRoc Records, a subsidiary of Def Jam.

Curren$y is readying the release of Covert Coup alongside superproducer the Alchemist and his next two albums, which will be released under Asylum.
