Rapper Reuniting With 9th Wonder On Project

Phonte, formerly of Little Brother, has finally revealed when his solo album will be released. The celebrated emcee's debut will drop on September 13th, and it reunites him with his former LB collaborator, producer 9th Wonder.

"I'ma pretty much sit down now and hash it out...If my record is like [Q-Tip's} Amplified, just as an example, [9th Wonder] would be my J. Dilla," explained Phonte. "I told him that I want him to set it off, and then any other producers we run with, they have to fit within that framework."

9th Wonder acrimoniously split from Little Brother years ago, but he and Phonte reconciled last year.

The September 13th date is also the six year anniversary of the release of LB's acclaimed Minstrel Show album. "Once I found out that's what it was...I can't push it back now," said Phonte.
