Lupe Fiasco's Album Sales Spike

Rapper Lupe Fiasco has seen his album sales spike after performing this past weekend at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles. His website traffic has also increased following the show. This year's MTV Movie Awards had 4.5 million viewers, the largest audience since 2004.

Lupe performed “Out of My Head” with Trey Songz and “The Show Goes On," from his current album Lasers, and the album jumped from #60 to #25 on Billboard.

"This performance came at the perfect time for Lupe," Atlantic Records’ David Saslow said. "Just as 'The Show Goes On' hits #1 at radio, & we begin the campaign on 'Out Of My Head' with Trey, the Movie Awards comes in with a sledgehammer! Lupe Fiasco is having an incredible summer with his third album, Lasers. Many thanks to MTV."
