BET Hip Hop Awards 06:00AM ET October 28, 2009 Contributor : Hip Hop Blog Staff A Rocky Williform Company The 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards finally aired last night and barring a couple Ludacris World Premiered a new song "How Low" off of his new album Battle of the Sexes (no Shawnna?) there were not many surprises. Most of the show had been reported on or tweeted about during the television taping in Atlanta on October 10th.
The crowd seemed lethargic throughout the performances only giving loud applause on a couple occasions. The ciphers were the highlight of the show with a litany of emcees spitting some serious venom. The performance heavy show leaned more towards talent show than awards show as most of the awards were not acknowledged during the broadcast. On a more positive note Mike Epps was a funny and witty host.
