On Friday October 30th, NYC will officially join forces with five other U.S. cities to support Port-au-Prince, Haiti in a competition that could bring the country one step closer to expanding a new waste management project that turns trash into energy.
Representatives from Miami, Boston, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles have pledged their support to the BBC sponsored Love 'N' Haiti contest. Some of the celebrity representatives include Wyclef, Garcelle Beauvais, Russell Simmons, Free, Sha Money XL, Tony Yayo, Mona Scott-Young and Jamie Hector.
The contest runs until November 13th. You can vote for Haiti at theworldchallenge.co.uk.
