Mac Dre Case Takes Unexpected Turn

There could be a new wrinkle in the unsolved murder case of legendary Bay Area rapper Mac Dre. Dre, born Andre Hicks, was murdered in November of 2004 following a show, at the age of 34. Now, an unnamed informant claims to be able to finger the person responsible for the Vallejo star's death.

Kansas City writer Alonzo Washington announced that he will be holding a press conference and was asked by an anonymous male informant on December 8 to be introduced to the Kansas City police department. If the unidentified informant's unspecified "terms and conditions" are met, he claims that he will reveal the name of a new person who he believes killed Mac Dre.

"Mr. Washington is very excited about closing this murder case because it caused so many people to be killed behind rumors and hip-hop speculations," reads a prepared statement.
