MC Hammer Facing Tax Issues

Rapper/entrepreneur MC Hammer reportedly owes the United States government $779,585 in back taxes and is facing a lawsuit from the government to recoup the money. He owes the money from 1996 and 1997--around the same time he infamously was forced to file for bankruptcy.

According to TMZ, the government has demanded that any concert earnings Hammer makes must be turned over to them.

Hammer filed for bankruptcy back in April 1996 after accruing $13 million in debt.
