Old To The New 09:00PM ET November 4, 2009 Contributor : Hip Hop Blog Staff A Rocky Williform Company Last night in Atlanta a revamped version of the Soul Train Awards took place. Hosted by Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, the awards featured performances from With performances from Keri Hilson, Robin Thicke, Ryan Leslie, Raheem DeVaughn featuring Ludacris Chrisette Michele and Mario featuring Sean Garrett. There was also a special tribute to Motown Records featuring a litany of R&B stars. Unfortunately whoever booked the show must have forgotten that rap music exists.
On a more positive note both Chaka Khan and Charlie Wilson of the Gap Band were honored with Icon Awards and treated to tribute performances.
The show will air on BET and Centric on November 29th.
