Rapper Nelly is being sued by American Express for an outstanding debt that the star owes. Nelly reportedly has accumulated a $20,000 debt with the credit card company. American Express has decided to pursue legal action to collect the monies owed.
It is being reported that the company filed the suit back in October and have subsequently added an additional $3,000 in legal fees as well.
According to TMZ, a court hearing has been set of January 9th, 2012. Nelly nor his spokespeople have issued a statement regarding the lawsuit.
