Yesterday DJ Envy shocked many in the industry when he sent out a tweet stating that after 8 years he was leaving New York radio station Hot 97. What most didn’t know is that the long time NYC DJ was moving to competitor Power 105.1.
Earlier today Power 105's program director Cadillac Jack announced that DJ Envy would be taking over as the afternoon personality from 2-6pm weekdays. He will be taking over for Malikha Mallette who will be moving to morning as Ed Lover's co-host.
"I'm thrilled to have DJ Envy add his energy and expertise to the Power team in afternoons! Moreover, Malikha and Ed have chemistry reminiscent of any great entertainment team. These 2 moves create the ultimate one-two punch for Power 105.1," said Cadillac Jack in a statement.
