Rapper Was Killed At Atlanta Hospital

Rapper Lil Phat died after being shot outside Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA The 19-year-old born Melvin Vernell III was sitting in a parked car on the second level of a parking deck at the hospital's Women's Center. He was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.

The rapper was affiliated with Trillville Entertainment, with fellow rappers Webbie, Mouse and others. He appeared on Trill 4 Life in 2010 and on Trill Fam: All or Nothing.

Last year, Phat was mentioned in a shooting that took place in Tuscaloose, Alabama. One of his associates was arrested for second degree assault and attempted murder.
