The-Dream Admits Lying

Singer/songwriter The-Dream has admitted that he lied when he attempted to deflect criticism from actress Gwyneth Paltrow after she tweeted "N***as In Paris for real" during Kanye West and Jay-Z's show in France last weekend. The-Dream initially tweeted that he had Paltrow's phone and drunkenly tweeted from her account.

He says that he still stands by his friend, but wanted to try to absorb the backlash.

"Well, we were there, of course. We were Patron'd out of our minds, number one," he explained to MTV News. "Number two, I was moreso trying to take the heat for a friend because I knew that the reaction was going to be silly."

"I know what she meant; I know what she didn't mean," he added.
