50 Cent's Twitter response to a billegerant fan has been at the center of a controversy involving the superstar rapper and actress Holly Robinson-Peete. When a fan began berating 50 on Twitter, the G-Unit head fired back, claiming that the individual 'looked autistic.' Robinson-Peete is the mother of an autistic child and advocates for autism awareness. She blasted the rapper's choice of words.

"When I read it (his tweets) my heart sank. I thought maybe your account had been hacked," she said in a letter to 50 Cent. "No such luck. Granted, his comment was completely out of line but your retort: 'i just saw your picture fool you look autistic'- was so so disappointing. I mean, that's your comeback?? "And you didn't stop there. You went on to joke about not wanting 'special ed (education) kids' on your timeline. Seriously, This is how you use your platform of 8 million plus followers??"

50 later deleted the tweets.

"Really thankful that @50cent took down those tweets," Robinson-Peete noted.
