Duo Announces OMFGOD Project

Brooklyn rhymer Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and New Orleans superproducer Mannie Fresh are joining forces in the studio. The two acclaimed hip hop veterans are teaming up for a new project called OMFGOD.

Footage has been released showcasing the stars working together in the studio. Another clip features Mos Def saying in 2007 that he wanted to work with the N'awlins hitmaker.

"I've always been a big fan of Mannie Fresh because I think his sound represents a modern version of that New Orleans Brass thing," Mos said. "I think it's kind of genius."
