Freeway touched on his former labelmate Beanie Sigel and the latter's string of legal troubles. While preparing to return to prison for two years following his conviction for failing to pay taxes, Sigel was arrested for drug possession.

Prior to performing with Jay-Z at the "Made In America" Festival, Freeway talked about his friend's troubles. “It’s definitely unfortunate,” said Freeway in an interview with AllHipHop. “I was just on the phone with his wife. It’s looking crazy, but Inshallah, he will get through it. It’s hard on me, it’s hard on his family, but he’s got good people out here who support him.”
